Tatting

When I'm not making jewelry I enjoy doing a little hand tatting.  Tatting is an old fashioned lace making method using either a shuttle or a needle. It is characterized by graceful archs and loops and "picots" or tiny loops.

Many of the tatting motifs I make are suitable for use in scrapbooking, card crafting, as sewing appliques, to make hair accessories, ornaments, bookmarks or to scatter on a table for unique decor and party favors. They have so many uses.
