Sue Runyon Designs Newsletter March/April 2009

Happy Spring everyone. I hope this finds you with the winter cold disappearing and flowers blooming.

Congratulations to K. Matchett of Florida who won a pair of my bleeding heart flower design earrings in my give-a-way on Valentines Day. If you are receiving this newsletter because you are a subscriber, remember that you are automatically entered in all give-a-ways. If this has been forwarded from a friend, I invite you to sign-up to receive it directly by going to the link below:

I plan to have at least two more give-a-ways this year and my newsletter subscribers, as always, are my preferred customers.

WHAT'S NEW:

If you haven't stopped by my website recently, I invite you to take a look. It has a cleaner, fresher look and is easier to read and navigate. I'm also continuing to make progress on my jewelry photography. It is getting better all the time.

There are two new features on my homepage. "TODAY'S SPECIAL" and "SOMETHING NEW." I now have some sort of special going all the time so check in to see what it is. It might be just what you were waiting for.

And I've included a helpful quick reference BIRTHSTONE CHART:

JEWELRY TREND:

When it comes to Spring jewelry, I like the look of wearing fewer necklace and earring sets in favor of the lighter look of bracelet and earring sets. Wearing necklace, bracelet and earrings all at once can appear too heavy--especially in Spring. Spring outfits often have pretty necklines which can be overwhelmed with a necklace. Variable weather conditions often find us sporting the popular pretty, light scarves, and shawls which can compete with necklaces.

When going without a necklace you can get bolder with your earring selection. Long dangles are very suitable for those wishing to show off a pretty neck or for those with long hair and they are fun and fresh for the season. Punch up your style with a great bracelet selection which will not only show off pretty hands or wrist, but will pull your outfit together with color, sheen and texture.

JEWELRY BUYING TIP:

Bracelets and earrings are perfect gifts for Mother's Day, Graduations and Teacher Appreciation. And if you can't decide on what to give, I also have GIFT CERTIFICATES which have become my most popular item lately.

And how about for you? I think bracelets need to be the perfect size for each woman. Face it, we want the just length that we want or we won't wear them. If it is at all possible, I'm happy to customize a bracelet length for you--generally at no extra cost.

This newsletter format does not give me the capability to insert photos or fancy text, but if you like a little more pizazz I invite you to view my blog:

I try to update my blog twice a week and in addition to jewelry related posts, I also have posts on my eco-friendly cleaning tips, household tips, family photos, features on other artists and anything else that strikes my fancy.
