Sue Runyon Designs Newsletter July 2008
Hello Everyone,
FREE FIRST CLASS SHIPPING & HANDLING July 1-6, 2008!
I hope you all are having a wonderful and relaxing summer. I'm gearing up to do just that. I will be on summer vacation July 7-30. I'll be turning off my website's shopping cart on those days. You will still be able to browse the website and contact me to purchase items during that time by e-mailing me at siouxzen@juno.com or by calling my cell phone at 702-465-2251 as I will be bringing my inventory with me on vacation. However, not all packaging options will be available (only sheer organza pouches as they travel well) and I will not be doing custom work on those dates. Shipping times may be slightly delayed. I'm sorry for any inconvenience.
To make up for my shopping cart being turned off July 7-30, I'm offering FREE FIRST CLASS SHIPPING & HANDLING for any items purchased July 1-6, 2008.
I know I will be seeing some of my newsletter subscribers over my vacation. I just want to let you know that you will have an opportunity to try things on in person. Also, if you don't mind being photographed, I'd love to get some photos of some of you wearing my designs for my website.
WHAT'S NEW
I have a new GIFTS page on my website. Right now it contains great new stemware charms for as little as $8.50 for a set of a dozen, cell phone lanyards, distinctive cloisonne and brass bookmarks, scissor fobs, and magnetic converter clasps. Most items on this page are priced from $2-10 for your gift giving convenience and that includes free gift wrap and personalized gift card (and free shipping July 1-6). Later this year I will be adding a larger selection of scissors fobs, hair sticks and Christmas ornanments.
I've also added some new items to my NECKLACES PEARL webpage. One of my favorites is an opera length pearl and turquoise jasper necklace set that can also be worn doubled--cool and summery with a white blouse.
JEWELRY BUYING TIPS & TRENDS
I lived in South Korea for two years where people watching was one of my favorite activities. I loved to see the Korean fashions. Korean women dress in a very feminine and decorative way using jewelry and other accessories to their best advantage. They dress up to go everywhere. I've even seen women hiking up mountains, walking on sandy beaches or on ice covered sidewalks in high heels! After being in Korea for a while, most American women I knew there started to adopt some of the more feminine trends. Needless to say, it was a culture shock to come home to the States and see the comfy-casual clothing American women were wearing.
However, this summer I've noticed that some of the more feminine trends that are common in Asian and European countries are starting to be adopted by American women--as long as they are still comfortable and somewhat casual. Now that uncomfortable stockings are going out of style in favor of the bare legs look (thanks to sunless tanning), women are finding that light, breezy skirts and dresses are super flattering and easy to wear all summer long.
Choose natural colored freshwater pearls or lighter colors in natural gemstone beads to go with these girly summer looks. Some great choices from my website include the new steely blue oval freshwater pearl necklace set, natural pink coin pearl necklace set, pink jade graduated necklace set, or the white howlite graduated necklace set.
Remember, FREE FIRST CLASS SHIPPING & HANDLING July 1-6 and check out my new GIFTS page.
