Sue Runyon Designs Newsletter May 2008
It's that time of year. Everyone is thinking of Mother's Day gifts, end of the year teacher gifts and graduation gifts.
I have plenty of things in stock that mom might enjoy. If you purchase early this week I can send your gift directly to your mom's address by Priority Mail (2-3 days).
I'm working hard on teacher gifts. There are several new items available at great prices and more to come in the next week or so. I already have a couple of choices in pearl dangle earrings for only $9 per pair. I also have cell-phone lanyards made with large natural gemstones in agate, jade and jasper for only $7.50 each. These also work well as zipper pulls and are perfect for the teacher who isn't really into jewelry. Also, in the next week or so I will be adding several pearl and gemstone necklace sets in the $20-28 range for those extra special teachers.
For the graduate, I have so many choices, but I've found a new item that is perfect for young women and so much fun! It's a very cool sterling silver "donut bail" that gemstone donuts slip right into and then the whole thing slides easily onto a smooth silver chain. This allows you to change out gemstone donuts at will to go with different outfits. The high quality sterling silver chain and donut bail are on my website for $19 per set and gemstone donut assortments in sets of three are available for only $12 per set. I can offer these at a great price because I don't have to design or make the sets so labor costs are not included. If these prove to be as popular as I predict, I will offer more donut assortment choices in the future (I want to find turquoise and snowflake obsidian and . . . ). You don't have to be a young woman to enjoy these. I think I'll take a set on my summer vacation. It's the perfect casual, interchangeable summer necklace to go with all my outfits.
Remember, I gift wrap and will even print out a special card with your sentiments so you don't have to scramble around looking for boxes, gift tags and ribbons at the last minute. I promise the presentation is very nice and FREE.
And now for the really exciting news. I'm offering $2 flat rate USPS First Class mail shipping and handling. Yes, only TWO DOLLARS. This service takes approximately 6-10 days so it won't work if you are in a hurry. However, for those of you who have time to wait, it's a very good option. If you have had your eye on those $14 earrings, but didn't want to pay $5 to have them shipped by Priority Mail, now you don't have to. It does generally involve a non-glamorous padded envelope instead of a nice white box, but that's part of the reason it's only $2. I'm also now offering some International Shipping--check with me for specifics.
JEWELRY BUYING TIPS AND TRENDS
Custom made jewelry is a hot trend. Lately I've had quite a few custom orders and even more inquires. I know a lot of you are curious as to how the process works so I've put a "Custom Order Policies and Pricing" article on my website. Use the link below or you can find it at the bottom of each page on my website.

The same link will also take you to my handy "Pearl Care Guide." You can damage your pearls so easily with just a careless shot of hairspray or perfume. If you own pearls, please read through this!
I can't believe there is only one month of school left here. Summer is coming up fast. Enjoy!
Thanks, Sue Runyon
