I have wire wrapped a large fern patterned black and brown gemstone teardrop into a pendant using thick sterling silver wire and have displayed it on a hand woven 8 strand rope braid done with a Japanese kumihimo technique. Great casual necklace.
Teardrop gemstone: 35mm x 45mm (1 1/2 inch x 1 3/4 inch), light brown and black with natural ferny pattern
Pendant: 6cm (2 3/8 inch) sterling silver and gemstone
Cord: 8 strand satin rope braid black and chocolate brown 5-6mm wide
