I designed these cascading earrings with my friend Tamara in mind.
Completely handmade by me bending and wrapping 925 sterling silver jewelry wire into this intriguing and natural design.
The shape of the units reminds me of a cascade of teardrops or water drops and the pearls just add to that effect. They also remind me of the "eyes" on peacock feathers. Either way these are fascinating and beautiful to wear.
4-5mm button shaped black freshwater pearls with a "peacock" iridescence are carefully and securely wire wrapped by me. The rest of the design is made from 925 sterling silver jewelry wire which hangs from rings that are soldered closed and hand-crafted sterling hook ear wires. Earrings hang down approximately 1 1/2 inches past the end of the ear wires.
I can also make these with more units for those who enjoy longer dangle earrings.
