I found a strand of these charming blue china, hand painted beads with bird designs at the outdoor market in Beijing. They make wonderful earrings when paired with copper. The copper metal and the cobalt blue glaze really compliment each other.
The beads are each unique and hand-made so the size and hand painting vary from bead to bead which adds to the charm. The beads are approximately 10x16mm and are made into dangles by me with the addition of copper accent beads and are securely wire wrapped. They dangle from a hand-crafted copper loop and hand-crafted copper hook ear wires. Earrings hang down approximately 1 1/4 inches past the end of the ear wires.
