16 inches in length with steely blue freshwater oval pearls that are approximately 7x9mm and are classically hand-knotted on black silk with a small, strong magnetic clasp. Single drop earrings on .925 sterling silver hook ear wires.
The oval pearls are very large and are a nice color and have good luster. They do have a lot of banding and shape and surface flaws (see photo) which are characteristic and very acceptible in this style and price of necklace.

NOTE: my dress form has a large 16 inch neck. This necklace will fit differently on someone with a smaller neck.
